Save to nvALT is open source and license under the MIT license. Notational Velocity is a cult favorite open source note taking app for OSX. This is made possible by a new Chrome extension setting that keeps Save to nvALT disabled until you click its button. It will begin searching existing notes, filtering them as you type. You press a shortcut to bring up the window and just start typing.
Unlike most Chrome extensions, it requires no special permissions to run: Notational Velocity is a way to take notes quickly and effortlessly using just your keyboard. Save to nvALT is designed to be as non-intrusive as possible. It’s an updated version of Notational Velocity.
